Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to join our logistics and transportation business.

The ideal candidate should have good accounting knowledge, be well-versed in Microsoft Excel, and be able to maintain accurate financial records. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar industry will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, payments and receipts
Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets and financial reports
Manage invoices and payment records
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Track transportation-related expenses and costs
Maintain records related to drivers, vehicles, fuel and other business expenses
Follow up on outstanding payments when required
Assist with monthly accounting and financial reporting
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records




Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required
P&L; reports generation

Requirements
Previous experience in an accounting role preferred
Good knowledge of basic accounting principles
Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential
Positive attention to detail and accuracy
Positive organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Good communication skills
Experience with accounting software is an advantage
Knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage
Experience in logistics, transportation, fleet management or a related business is preferred
