​Job Description: Site Supervisor (City Gas / Pipeline Projects)

​1. Job Overview

​Position Title: Site Supervisor

​Reporting To: Project Manager / Project Engineer

​Department/Domain: Site Execution (MDPE/GI Pipe Laying, HDD, SR Installation, etc.)

​2. Key Responsibilities

​Daily Site Execution:

​Oversee and ensure site activities progress in accordance with engineering drawings and project schedules.

​Supervise MDPE pipe laying (32mm, 63mm, 90mm, etc.), trenching, backfilling, and route marker installation.

​Ensure HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) operations and road cutting work are executed safely and smoothly.

​Quality Control:

​Inspect pipe joining processes (electrofusion/butt fusion welding) to ensure quality standards are met.

​Ensure safety and technical protocols are strictly followed during pressure testing procedures.

​Labor & Contractor Management:

​Allocate and monitor daily work tasks for site workers and subcontractors.

​Ensure site personnel adhere to work schedules and safety guidelines.

​Safety Compliance (HSE):

​Ensure all site workers properly wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).





​Implement necessary safety barricades, warning tapes, and signage to prevent site accidents.

​3. Reporting & Documentation

​Progress Reporting:

​Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) detailing executed quantities and pipeline laying distances to the Project Manager.

​Material Management:

​Maintain track and inventory of materials received at the site (pipes, fittings, valves, etc.).

​Issue Escalation:

​Identify and immediately report any site obstacles, delays, or issues to senior engineering management.

​4. Qualifications & Skills

​Education & Experience: Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or 2–3 years of hands-on site supervision experience (prior experience in City Gas Distribution or utility pipeline projects preferred).

​Technical Knowledge: Ability to read engineering drawings and thorough understanding of pipeline laying procedures.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹31,000.00 per month
