Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Lead and manage the Tooling & NPD team, including tool development, tool design, maintenance and project execution.
Manage recent mould development, tool trials, validation, repair and preventive maintenance to ensure tool quality, uptime and timely delivery.
Strongly focus on reducing tool breakdowns, MTTR and repeat breakdowns through effective preventive and predictive maintenance.
Lead NPD projects from tool development to production, including project planning, costing, trial, validation and ramp-up.
Manage APQP, PPAP, PSW and project documentation and ensure timely submission as per customer requirements.
Coordinate tool transfer, pre-builds, pilot runs and production ramp-up with Project, Production, Quality and other functions.
Monitor tool development cost, project cost and profitability, and identify prospects for cost reduction and process improvement.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer requirements and internal quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement in Tool Room, tool life, cycle time, productivity and manufacturing process.
