With a growing customer base, Bean Town Cafe is expanding its menu to include a wider range of continental dishes to enhance the dining experience. Role Description The Continental Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking a variety of continental dishes in line with the cafe’s menu and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations during service, ensuring proper portioning and plating, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. The role involves collaborating with the management team to introduce recent dishes, optimize kitchen workflows, and manage inventory and ordering for relevant ingredients. The Continental Chef will also guide junior kitchen staff, ensure equipment is properly maintained,



and support consistent taste and presentation of all dishes. This is a full time, on-site role based at Bean Town Cafe in Navi Mumbai.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of continental cuisine, including preparation techniques, ingredients, and menu planning.
Proven experience working as a Continental Chef or in a similar chef position in a restaurant or cafe.
Sound understanding of food safety standards, kitchen hygiene practices, and proper storage procedures.
Ability to manage a busy kitchen workplace, coordinate with team members, and maintain consistency during peak hours.
Skill in plating and presentation, with attention to detail and a focus on customer experience.
Basic inventory management skills, including monitoring stock levels and supporting procurement of ingredients.
Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Relevant culinary training or certification from a recognized institute is preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by cafe operations.
