Job Description Manager Stores & Warehouse

Lead end-to-end stores and warehouse operations for Li-ion cell and battery pack manufacturing, ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, traceability, cost optimization, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage material receipt, inspection coordination, storage, preservation, kitting, issue, returns, and dispatch.
Ensure timely material availability to production in coordination with PPC, SCM, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Logistics.
Manage inventory control, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, FIFO/FEFO, ageing, and excess/obsolete inventory.
Ensure secure storage and handling of Li-ion cells, battery packs, BMS, electronic components, and other materials.
Maintain batch/lot traceability and ensure accurate SAP transactions, inventory records, and MIS reporting.
Oversee finished goods storage, dispatch readiness, scrap management, and non-conforming material disposition.
Ensure compliance with EHS, 5S, ISO standards, warehouse safety, and audit requirements.
Lead the stores team and drive process improvement, warehouse productivity, space utilization, and cost reduction.

Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of stores,



warehouse, and inventory management in a manufacturing setting.
Hands-on experience with SAP MM, inventory reconciliation, FIFO/FEFO, and cycle counting.
Understanding of Li-ion cells, battery packs, BMS, and electronic components is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel; Power BI and warehouse digitization experience are an advantage.
Robust leadership, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Experience & Qualification
Experience: 12–15 years in stores and warehouse operations, preferably in large-scale manufacturing.
Proven experience in inventory optimization, SAP, warehouse management, audits, and team leadership.
Experience in Li-ion cell or battery pack manufacturing is highly desirable.

Inventory accuracy of 99.5%.
Material availability and timely issue to production.
Timely SAP transactions and GRN posting.
Reduction in excess, obsolete, damaged, and ageing inventory.
Warehouse productivity, space utilization, and cost optimization.
EHS compliance, audit readiness, and minimal stores-related production disruptions.
