Job Description

We are seeking an experienced GPFS Storage Engineer to manage and support enterprise-scale IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) storage environments. The ideal candidate will possess robust expertise in GPFS architecture and enterprise storage technologies, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of storage infrastructure.

Mandatory Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM GPFS (Spectrum Scale).
Deep knowledge of:
GPFS Architecture
Quorum Nodes
Network Shared Disks (NSDs)
File Sets
Storage Policies
5+ years of experience with enterprise storage technologies:
SAN
NAS
Fibre Channel
iSCSI
NFS
SMB/CIFS
InfiniBand/RDMA
Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
Experience in storage performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
Excellent English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain IBM GPFS/Spectrum Scale environments.
Design, configure, and optimize GPFS clusters and storage infrastructure.
Manage NSDs,



file systems, file sets, storage pools, and data policies.
Monitor storage health, capacity, and performance.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex storage issues.
Support disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability solutions.
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams.
Develop and maintain operational and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills
Experience in large enterprise or HPC settings.
Scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or Ansible.
Exposure to cloud-integrated storage solutions.
IBM Spectrum Scale certifications are a plus.
