Safety Officer in HVAC projects

Location - Vellore

Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at HVAC project sites.
Conduct daily safety inspections for HVAC installation activities such as ducting, piping, equipment installation, and testing.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like helmets, gloves, safety shoes, goggles, and harnesses.
Identify hazards related to HVAC work (working at height, electrical connections, refrigerant handling, confined spaces).
Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for technicians and workers before starting work.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare safety reports.
Ensure secure lifting and rigging during installation of HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and ducts.
Monitor work at height activities such as duct installation, piping, and ceiling work.




Ensure fire safety measures when welding, brazing, or cutting HVAC pipes.
Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation such as work permits, risk assessments, and safety checklists.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and management to improve safety performance.

Qualification Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Safety Management.
Safety certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
2 to 7 years’ experience in construction or HVAC project safety.

Job Types : Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
