Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Autodesk design software and the development of Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate should have strong knowledge of mechanical design, machine components, assembly drawings, manufacturing processes, and customized automation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and complete SPM machines using Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor.

· Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings, 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed engineering drawings.

· Design machine structures, fixtures, jigs, tooling, mechanisms, and automation systems.

· Perform component selection for bearings, shafts, gears, guideways, ball screws, pneumatic cylinders, and other mechanical elements.

· Develop machine layouts and ensure proper integration of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

· Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), parts lists, and technical documentation.

· Coordinate with electrical design, PLC, production, fabrication, machining, and assembly teams.





· Ensure designs meet functional requirements, manufacturing feasibility, quality standards, and project timelines.

· Support machine assembly, troubleshooting, design modifications, and commissioning activities.

· Incorporate customer requirements and engineering changes into design documentation.

Required Skills

· Hands-on experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor.

· Experience in mechanical design of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and customized industrial machinery.

· Good knowledge of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, assembly design, and manufacturing drawings.

· Understanding of machine elements, mechanical mechanisms, tolerances, fits, and GD&T.;

· Knowledge of fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and manufacturing processes.

· Ability to prepare BOMs and detailed engineering documentation.

· Understanding of pneumatic systems and machine automation is preferred.

· Solid problem-solving, design analysis, and cross-functional coordination skills.
