Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Microsoft BI

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer Microsoft BI with strong expertise in the Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) stack, data warehousing, data modelling, and enterprise BI solutions. The candidate will design and develop BI solutions, maintain existing applications, optimize data processing, and collaborate with business analysts, architects, and technical teams in a banking workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft BI solutions to meet business requirements.
- Develop and support BI applications, enhancements, bug fixes, and production issues.
- Build and maintain ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Develop reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
- Design and maintain SSAS Tabular models, using MDX/DAX as required.
- Work on SQL Server 2017/2022, complex SQL queries, query optimization, and data manipulation.
- Design and maintain data warehouse architecture, data models, and data historization.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, testing, deployment, and production support.




- Identify opportunities for process automation and build proof of concepts for new solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and promote coding standards and quality practices.

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Microsoft BI / MSBI technologies
- Strong expertise in SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
- SQL Server 2017/2022, complex SQL queries, and query optimization
- ETL development and data integration
- Power BI reporting and dashboard development
- SSAS Tabular Modelling, MDX, and DAX
- Data warehousing, data modelling, and historization
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Agile/SDLC methodologies
- Experience in a banking or financial services environment

Good-to-Have Skills

- C# development for SSIS
- Python, PySpark, and Airflow
- Kubernetes and microservices
- Vertica or other MPP databases
- PowerShell scripting
- Cognos, Tableau, or Qlik

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or relevant MSBI experience.

Preferred Candidate Profile: Senior-level candidates with strong hands-on experience across SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL Server, and Power BI, preferably in banking or financial services, are encouraged to apply.
