Procurement Executive – Fresh Produce & Perishables

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Executive to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination of perishable products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in fresh produce procurement, vendor negotiations, market price analysis, inventory coordination, and maintaining consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for perishable products.

* Procure fruits, vegetables, flowers, and other assigned fresh products according to business requirements.

* Negotiate pricing, quality standards, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with vendors.

* Monitor daily market rates, seasonal availability, and procurement costs.

* Ensure timely purchasing and delivery while maintaining freshness and quality standards.

* Coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and logistics teams to prevent shortages and delivery delays.

* Prepare and maintain purchase orders, vendor records, and procurement documentation.

* Track vendor performance, product quality, and supply consistency.

* Resolve procurement-related issues, including quality concerns and supply disruptions.

* Maintain accurate procurement reports and records using MS Excel.

Required Qualifications and Skills





* 8–10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing, with hands-on exposure to perishable products.

* Experience in fruits, vegetables, flowers, fresh produce, or related perishable categories.

* Strong supplier identification, vendor management, and negotiation capabilities.

* Knowledge of procurement processes, product quality, and inventory coordination.

* Ability to manage fluctuating market prices and time-sensitive deliveries.

* Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase-related documentation.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
