We are looking for a technically skilled Merchandiser with strong expertise in garment sample development, pattern coordination, fit analysis, and product construction. The candidate should be capable of independently understanding buyer requirements, guiding the sampling team, resolving technical issues, and ensuring samples meet the required specifications before approval.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in knitwear sampling and the ability to coordinate effectively with pattern masters, sample tailors, fabric teams, and production departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Development & Technical Understanding

- Understand buyer tech packs, reference samples, measurement charts, construction details, and garment specifications.
- Coordinate the development of proto samples, fit samples, size sets, pre-production samples, and other buyer-required samples.
- Guide the sampling team on garment construction, stitching methods, measurements, finishing, and detailing.
- Ensure samples accurately reflect the buyer's design, fit, fabric, trims, and workmanship requirements.
- Identify technical issues during sample development and suggest practical solutions.

2. Pattern & Fit Coordination

- Work closely with pattern masters to develop and correct patterns according to buyer specifications.




- Review sample measurements and identify deviations from the measurement chart.
- Guide pattern corrections and fit improvements based on buyer comments.
- Understand shrinkage, fabric behaviour, GSM, garment dimensions, and their impact on fit and final measurements.
- Ensure corrections are implemented accurately in subsequent sample rounds.

3. Sampling Team Guidance & Management

- Provide transparent technical instructions to sample tailors and pattern masters.
- Allocate sampling priorities based on buyer deadlines and order requirements.
- Review samples before submission to ensure measurement accuracy, construction quality, and finishing standards.
- Train and guide junior merchandisers and sampling personnel in garment specifications and sample development procedures.
- Monitor sample progress and ensure timely completion without compromising quality.

4. Buyer Comments & Sample Approval

- Review buyer feedback and translate comments into clear, actionable instructions for the sampling team.
- Maintain sample status trackers, approval records, and revision histories.
- Coordinate resubmissions and ensure all buyer comments are addressed before the next sample submission.
- Ensure approved samples and specifications are properly documented for bulk production.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
