Job Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff and ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, offices, and other assigned areas are clean, hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable. The role involves allocating duties, inspecting cleaning standards, monitoring staff performance, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping attendants and cleaning staff.
- Allocate duties, prepare work schedules, and monitor staff attendance.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, washrooms, corridors, and other assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ensure that cleaning procedures, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Train new employees on cleaning techniques, equipment handling, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Monitor the use and storage of cleaning chemicals, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain housekeeping records, inspection reports, attendance sheets, and inventory registers.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and safety hazards to the relevant department.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Handle guest or client complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor staff grooming, discipline, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and compliance with health, sanitation,



and environmental standards.
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager with stock control, performance reviews, and operational planning.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum qualification: 12th pass ; a diploma in Hotel Management or Housekeeping is an advantage.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related supervisory role is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and housekeeping equipment.
- Basic computer skills and report-writing abilities.
- Experience in staff supervision, inventory control, and quality inspections.

Working ConditionsThe role may require standing or walking for extended periods, working in shifts, and assisting with housekeeping duties when necessary.Overall Objective: To maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and service quality while ensuring efficient housekeeping operations and effective team performance.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
