​Job Overview

​Sugar Traders is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to handle end-to-end accounting operations, tax compliance, financial reporting, and full balance sheet management for our trade operations. The ideal candidate will manage key financial transactions, general ledgers, vendor/client reconciliations, statutory filings, and the finalization of annual accounts.

​Key Responsibilities

- ​Day-to-Day Accounting: Oversee daily billing, ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- ​Balance Sheet Management & Finalization:
- ​Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual Balance Sheets along with Profit & Loss Statements.
- ​Maintain and review schedules for all Balance Sheet line items (fixed assets, loans, reserves, current assets, and liabilities).
- ​Ensure accurate accruals, prepayments, and provisions at period close.
- ​Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and manage TDS/TCS compliance and filings.
- ​Reconciliation: Perform daily/monthly bank reconciliations, vendor ledger reconciliations,



customer ledger reconciliations, and inter-company balances.
- ​Inventory & Trade Accounting: Monitor inventory movements, stock valuations, and purchase/sales register updates.
- ​Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors for smooth execution of statutory audits, tax audits, and balance sheet verification.

​Requirements & Qualifications

- ​Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce/Accounting (B.Com / M.Com) or semi-qualified CA / ICWA.
- ​Experience: 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience with proven expertise in Balance Sheet finalization.
- ​Technical Skills:
- ​Hands-on proficiency in Tally Prime / Busy / Zoho Books / ERP software.
- ​Robust working knowledge of Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling).
- ​In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, Indian Tax Rules, and accounting standards.
- ​Key Attributes: High accuracy, strong analytical capabilities, integrity, and time management skills.
