Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA MM Consultant with strong functional expertise in Materials Management and proven experience in pharmaceutical industry implementations. The ideal candidate must have completed at least one full end-to-end SAP implementation in the pharmaceutical domain and possess a strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, batch management, subcontracting, and integration with quality and manufacturing processes.

The consultant will support a global SAP transformation program for a US-based pharmaceutical client, working closely with business stakeholders, onsite architects, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Lead SAP S/4HANA MM functional design, configuration, testing, and implementation activities.

•⁠ ⁠Drive end-to-end implementation activities, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design, configuration, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support.

•⁠ ⁠Configure and support core MM processes, including procurement, purchasing, inventory management, vendor management, stock transfers, and material master data.

•⁠ ⁠Implement and support batch management, batch traceability, and serialization-related processes.

•⁠ ⁠Configure and manage subcontracting processes, including component procurement,



inventory visibility, batch tracking, and quality integration.

•⁠ ⁠Implement quota management and procurement controls for restricted materials.

•⁠ ⁠Support controlled-substance material processes, including compliance workflows, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure integration between SAP MM and PP, QM, SD, FI, and WM/EWM.

•⁠ ⁠Support pharmaceutical quality and compliance requirements, including GxP-related processes and system validation activities.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, and implementation documentation.

•⁠ ⁠Collaborate with global business teams, onsite architects, and technical teams to resolve functional issues.

•⁠ ⁠Provide production support, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

•⁠ ⁠Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP MM.

•⁠ ⁠At least one complete end-to-end SAP implementation in the pharmaceutical industry is mandatory.

•⁠ ⁠Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA MM configuration and implementation.

•⁠ ⁠Expertise in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, material master data,



and vendor management.

•⁠ ⁠Robust knowledge of batch management, batch traceability, and subcontracting processes.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with quota management and procurement controls for restricted materials.

•⁠ ⁠Understanding of controlled-substance handling and associated regulatory compliance requirements.

•⁠ ⁠Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and quality requirements, including GxP, FDA, and EMA.

•⁠ ⁠Experience integrating SAP MM with PP, QM, SD, FI, and WM/EWM.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with functional documentation, testing, UAT, and go-live support.

•⁠ ⁠Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global teams.

Good-to-Have Skills

•⁠ ⁠Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations.

•⁠ ⁠Knowledge of SAP WM or EWM.

•⁠ ⁠Exposure to pharmaceutical serialization and Track & Trace solutions.

•⁠ ⁠Understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) and validation documentation, including IQ/OQ/PQ.

•⁠ ⁠Experience supporting regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Important Requirement

*Candidates must have at least one complete end-to-end SAP implementation in the pharmaceutical industry.* Candidates without relevant Pharma implementation experience should not be considered for this position.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 per month
