Role Description The Windows Server Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining Windows server infrastructure to support Lokmat Media’s on-site operations in Nagpur. This full-time role includes installing, configuring, and upgrading servers, managing user access and permissions, and ensuring system security and data integrity. Day-to-day activities involve performing regular backups, overseeing patch and update deployment, troubleshooting system and network issues, and providing technical support to internal teams.



The administrator will collaborate with IT colleagues to optimize performance, implement best practices, and document configurations and procedures. The role also involves proactive capacity planning, incident response, and contributing to business continuity and disaster recovery strategies. Qualifications
• Strong skills in Server Administration and System Administration for Windows-based environments.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to resolve server, network, and user-related issues efficiently.
• Hands-on experience with Patch Management, including planning, testing, and deploying security updates and system upgrades.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions, monitoring tools, and basic virtualization concepts (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
• Understanding of IT security principles, firewall and antivirus configurations, and adherence to compliance and audit requirements.
• Ability to document procedures, follow IT policies, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, MCSA/MCSE, or equivalent) are an advantage.
