About the Role
Nexus Automation Solutions is looking for a motivated PLC Programmer to join our automation engineering team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support PLC, SCADA, and HMI-based control systems for industrial automation projects, working closely with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design of PLC systems, SCADA systems, and HMIs.
• Develop system requirements, specifications, and design documentation.
• Optimize program logic and algorithms to achieve desired system performance and functionality.
• Develop interfaces and protocols for seamless communication between different systems and devices.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, technical discussions, and project updates.
• Develop prototypes or proof-of-concept systems to validate design concepts and functionality.
• Conduct testing and validation procedures to verify system performance and reliability.
• Manage automation projects from inception to completion, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior automation engineers and technicians.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in automation technologies, providing guidance to project teams.




• Develop and execute testing procedures to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of automation systems.
• Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) to ensure system compliance with customer requirements. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's / Diploma degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• 1–3 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation (freshers with strong fundamentals in PLC Programming are also welcome to apply).
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, or Delta.
• Familiarity with SCADA and HMI development software.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC).
• Basic knowledge of electrical panel design and control wiring is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Valuable communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
• Willingness to travel for site commissioning, FAT/SAT, and customer visits as required. Preferred Skills
• Prior exposure to project management in an automation/manufacturing environment.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians.
• Knowledge of proof-of-concept/prototype development for automation solutions.
