Role Description The Garv Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Srinagar, focused on serving customers and promoting Canara HSBC Life Insurance’s products and “Promises Ka Partner” philosophy at the branch level. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting prospective and existing customers, explaining suitable life insurance and protection solutions, and supporting them through policy selection and documentation. The Garv Officer will coordinate closely with bank staff and internal teams to drive business, ensure accurate policy issuance, and assist with basic service requests.



The role also involves maintaining customer records, participating in local marketing or awareness activities, and adhering to regulatory and company compliance standards. Regular reporting on sales activities, customer feedback, and branch performance will be required. Qualifications
• Strong customer service, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers and bank partners.
• Sales and marketing aptitude, including the ability to understand customer needs, cross-sell products, and meet business targets ethically.
• Basic financial literacy and understanding of life insurance concepts, with the ability to explain products clearly and accurately.
• Effective communication skills in English and local languages, with clear presentation and documentation abilities.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort with using computers, MS Office, and digital tools for reporting and policy servicing.
• Ability to work in a structured, on-site branch environment in Srinagar, collaborate with teams, and follow regulatory and company guidelines.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is an advantage.
• Willingness to participate in field-level customer outreach and continuous learning through company training programs.
