Role Description The Plant Manager role at Abroad is a full time remote position responsible for overseeing end-to-end plant operations and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. Day-to-day tasks include managing manufacturing operations, coordinating production planning, optimizing workflows, and monitoring operational performance against quality, cost, and delivery targets.

The Plant

Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.



This role also involves managing plant resources, resolving operational issues, and reporting on key performance metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability in Plant Management and Plant Operations, with experience overseeing daily activities and resource utilization.
- Proficiency in Operations Management and Production Planning to optimize capacity, scheduling, and throughput.
- Hands-on experience in Manufacturing Operations, including process improvement, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach teams and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data and KPIs to drive decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working remotely with distributed teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may also be considered.
