Role Description The Engineer role at Tata Power-DDL is a full-time, in office position based in Bhubaneswar. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting power distribution operations, including monitoring network performance, analyzing technical issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure reliable and efficient electricity supply. Daily activities may involve coordinating with field teams, supervising installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment,



and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

The role includes preparing technical reports, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, such as the deployment of smart grid technologies and other innovative projects. The Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and support project planning and execution.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in electrical or power systems engineering, including knowledge of distribution networks, grid operations, and protection systems.
- Skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and root cause investigation to address technical and operational challenges.
- Experience or familiarity with smart grid technologies, metering systems, automation solutions, and renewable energy integration is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using engineering software tools, MS Office, and relevant monitoring or SCADA systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
- Ability to work on-site, coordinate with field teams, and follow established safety protocols and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant certifications or licenses are an advantage.
- Prior experience in power distribution, utilities, or infrastructure projects is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
