Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteer is a part-time role responsible for organizing, supporting, and enhancing volunteer engagement for client organizations. This hybrid position is based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, with a mix of on-site visits to client locations and work-from-home tasks. Daily responsibilities include coordinating volunteer schedules, maintaining accurate volunteer records, and serving as a primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries.

The role involves assisting with recruitment and onboarding of volunteers, preparing basic orientation materials, and communicating updates and expectations clearly. The Coordinator of Volunteer will also collaborate with internal HR consultants and client stakeholders to ensure volunteer activities align with organizational goals and operate smoothly.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate people and activities, including scheduling, follow-up, and basic project tracking.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to engage respectfully and clearly with diverse groups of volunteers and client representatives.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including maintaining records, using spreadsheets or databases, and managing documentation accurately.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including the ability to work independently from home and travel within the Kolkata metropolitan area when needed.
- General understanding of HR or people-management principles; prior experience in volunteer management, community outreach, or HR support is an advantage.
- Proficiency in common office software (e.g., email tools, word processing, spreadsheets) and willingness to learn any client-specific systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality in line with professional and legal standards.
- Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in social work, human resources, management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
