Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager specializing in LT switchgear and electrical control panels. The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, category management, vendor development, cost optimization, and timely procurement of electrical components and materials for LT and HT panel manufacturing and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement of LT switchgear, HT switchgear, PCC, MCC, APFC panels, and electrical control panel components.
- Develop category strategies for circuit breakers, contactors, relays, busbars, electrical accessories, and other critical components.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Drive project-level cost savings through value engineering, alternate sourcing, price benchmarking, and bulk procurement.
- Prepare and monitor project-wise BOQs, material cost estimates, and procurement budgets.
- Coordinate with design, estimation, production, project, and sales teams to ensure material availability as per project timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery commitments, and inventory levels.
- Establish long-term vendor relationships and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
- Track market trends, commodity prices, and supplier developments to improve procurement efficiency.
- Maintain procurement records,



purchase orders, supplier agreements, and cost-saving reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering; relevant procurement experience is essential.
- 5–8 years of experience in procurement of LT/HT switchgear and electrical panels.
- Solid knowledge of brands and products such as Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB, L&T;, and similar switchgear manufacturers.
- Expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and supplier development.
- Proven ability to achieve project cost savings and improve procurement margins.
- Good understanding of electrical BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and project costing.
- Strong analytical, commercial negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP/SAP procurement systems is preferred.

- Project-wise procurement cost savings.
- Reduction in material procurement costs and purchase price variance.
- Supplier delivery performance and material availability.
- Vendor development and alternate sourcing achievements.
- Procurement budget adherence and reduction in project delays.

Ideal Candidate: A category specialist with strong technical knowledge of LT/HT switchgear, excellent vendor negotiation skills, and a proven track record of delivering measurable project-level cost savings.
