Experience: 5+ relevant years mainframe technical experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer

Roles and Responsibilities

- Works interactively with all project staff, both internal and Customer.
- Performs and coordinates the Install, Configuration, Migration and Implementation activities of tools.
- Contributes to Customer ready design documentation to support all Functional requirements, Technical Solution Design, Test Strategy and Deployment Plans.
- Participating in project teams as subject matter expert, relating to the support of existing technologies, the selection and implementation of new technologies.
- Experience in hosting applications in S3 Bucket.
- Advises on updates to the Project or Service Schedule to the Project Manager, Practice Lead or Service Delivery Manager.
- Recognizes customer requests that fall outside scope of the SOW or any new opportunities and brings it to the attention of the Project Manager/Practice Lead for further review.
- Successfully moves Customer into production on the target solution, transitioning the project to closure with both the customer and teams.
- Support disaster recovery/business continuity programs as directed.
- Communicate effectively with RD users and management at all levels.

Requirements

- Working in services or projects, preferably customer facing in a qualified consultative capacity.
- Working as Source Code Management administrator.




- Experience in z/OS operating system and program product installs, SYSPLEX, system configurations, upgrades, user mods/exits, in large complex environments. Strong experience with SMP/e, testing and deployment strategies, problem determination and resolution.
- Consultative skills with customers when driving deliverables and setting priorities.
- A self-starter, willing to work without a net with a proven ability to meet assigned timelines with high quality, complete deliverables in unsupervised, often remote, situations.
- Willingness to mentor, share ideas and knowledge with other colleagues promoting best practices.
- Demonstrated success in building key relationships in the past with sales, Technical Support, Application Teams and Product Engineering.
- Knowledge of asynchronous patterns, promises.
- Mainframe Source Code Management expertise as administrator, specifically BMC ISPW software.
- Strong experience with install and configuration of software products, BMC, IBM, Micro Focus and CA-Broadcom SCM products
- Strong experience in TSO, ISPF, JCL, REXX, CLIST.
- Automation tools like Jenkins for CI/CD Pipeline automation.
