Role Description:

This full-time remote role for an Aerospace NC Programmer – CATIA V5 / VERICUT focuses on developing and optimising CNC programs for complex aerospace components. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings and 3D models, creating NC toolpaths in CATIA V5, and validating programs using VERICUT to ensure collision-free, efficient machining.

The role involves selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies, supporting milling and multi-axis operations, and collaborating with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.



The NC Programmer will also maintain process documentation, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support adherence to aerospace manufacturing standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

· Solid proficiency in CNC Programming and Programming for aerospace components, including experience with CATIA V5 and VERICUT.

· Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawing and 3D models, with solid understanding of GD&T; and engineering specifications.

· Hands-on familiarity with Machining and Milling operations, tooling selection, cutting parameters, and multi-axis CNC processes.

· Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments, ideally within AS9100D or similarly regulated frameworks.

· Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems, shop-floor practices, and digital verification tools for NC programs.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety, quality, and process efficiency.

· Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional setting.

· Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

· Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters appropriate for aerospace materials (aluminium, titanium, Inconel, composites, etc.)

· Solid understanding of 5-axis machining principles.

· Familiarity with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar).

· Experience with complex structural components.

· Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume production.

· Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

· Interpret and apply engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T;, and specifications.
