About the role

You bring the outside world to Vedam. You build the pipeline of companies that collaborate with us on

live projects, hire our students as interns, and place them in full-time roles. You work with startups,

MNCs and tech companies alike, and you own each relationship from first conversation to signed

outcome. Pune is where our internship batch is; Gurugram is our HQ. Either base works, with regular

travel between the two campuses.

What you will own

Collaborations and live projects

- Build and run a pipeline of startups, MNCs and tech companies that give students real, scoped

problems to work on.

- Scope each project with the company and our academics team: the problem, deliverables,

timeline, mentor from the company side, and how it is evaluated.

- Track every live project through delivery and turn good ones into repeat partnerships.

Internships

- Source internship roles for each cohort, including the Pune internship batch, well ahead of the

internship window.

- Match roles to student skills and interests together with the campus and program teams.
- Check in with companies and students during the internship, resolve issues early, and collect

feedback that goes back into the curriculum.

Placements

- Own the end-to-end placement lifecycle: employer outreach, job description alignment,

shortlisting, interview schedules, offers and onboarding.

- Bring in recruiters across data, software, product and other tech and non-tech roles, and grow

the number of companies that hire from us year on year.

- Prepare students for the process with the campus teams: employer briefings, mock interviews

and role readiness.

- Convert internship partners into final-placement partners wherever the fit is there.

Employer relationships and brand

- Work with CXOs, founders, hiring heads and talent teams, and hold regular conversations with

each, not just at hiring time.





- Represent Vedam in the tech and startup community, and bring in guest speakers, mentors and

company visits that strengthen the student experience.

- Maintain a clean CRM and a weekly view of pipeline, conversions and open commitments for

leadership.

- Share what employers tell you about student skills, so Vedam's programs keep up with what

industry needs.

What we are looking for

- 4 to 8 years in corporate relations, corporate partnerships, campus hiring, placements or

business development, ideally in edtech, tech services or a tech company.

- A real working knowledge of the tech industry. You can talk to an engineer about a project, to a

founder about a collaboration, and to a CXO about hiring.

- A track record of closing: you open doors and follow up until an internship, project or hire is

confirmed.

- Experience with companies of every size, from early-stage startups to large MNCs.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, in person and in writing.
- Ownership and structure: you plan your pipeline, keep records and hit targets without being

chased.

- Comfort being based in Pune or Gurugram and travelling between the two as needed.
- A network in the tech, startup and recruiter ecosystem, or the ability to build one fast. Presence

in Pune or NCR is a plus.

- Nice to have: experience placing engineering or CS graduates, and exposure to the technology

hiring market.

What success looks like in year one

- Every student in the internship batch has a confirmed, relevant internship, with a solid share

of them in startups and tech companies.

- A steady pipeline of partner companies, with live student projects signed and delivered each

term.

- A growing list of recruiters hiring from Vedam, with repeat hirers and internship-to-offer

conversions.

- Guest speakers, mentors and company visits scheduled regularly across both campuses.
