Job Description

- Infosys is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop a high-performing Data Engineering team supporting large-scale, global digital and data transformation initiatives.

- The role will focus on people leadership, engineering delivery, stakeholder management, and capability development. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality project delivery, managing team capacity, mentoring engineers, and driving the adoption of engineering best practices across geographically distributed teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of data engineering projects and initiatives.

- Recruit, mentor, and manage the performance and career growth of the data engineers.

- Serve as the primary liaison for the GDDS team, ensuring explicit communication and alignment with the Engineering Chapter Director, Regional Engineering Managers/Leaders (Europe, Americas, Asia-Pacific), Solution Architects, Product Managers and Product Owners.

- Drive the adoption of engineering best practices and agile methodologies within the team.

- Manage team capacity and resources effectively to balance new projects with ongoing maintenance

- Foster a cohesive and collaborative team culture that spans across the offshore and onshore locations.





Technical Requirement

Core skills:

- Proven people management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor and inspire team members to deliver high-quality work.

- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or cloud engineering delivery, with a proven track record of managing complex cloud implementation in technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

- Experience with agile project management methodologies

Nice to have:

- Basic understanding of data engineering practices, technologies, architecture principles (e.g. modern data stack, data modeling, ...)
