Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Creo, AutoCAD, 3D modelling, 2D manufacturing drawings and sheet metal design. The ideal candidate should have experience working on Genset / Diesel Engine components, Canopy, Base Frame and Acoustic Enclosure design.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings using Creo / Creo Parametric and AutoCAD.
- Design and develop sheet metal components, including Canopy, Base Frame, Fuel Tank and enclosure components.
- Work on Genset / DG Set / Diesel Engine components and mechanical auxiliary components.
- Develop and support Acoustic Enclosure / Acoustic Container designs.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.
- Work on ECR / ECN and engineering change management processes.
- Develop and modify casting components/models as per design and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing,
engineering and cross-functional teams for design development and issue resolution.
- Work with Windchill / PLM systems for drawings, BOM, revisions and engineering data management.
- Support Genset testing, validation, emission and compliance activities, where required.
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements, quality standards and customer specifications.
- Valuable verbal and written communication skills.
