Job Summary

Build custom applications in ServiceNow by defining data tables, user interface and adding business logic.

Responsibilities

- Strong understanding of ServiceNow Development Platform including Custom Development, etc.
- Integration with 3rd party application, Knowledge in scripted REST API
- Must have worked on servicenow version upgrade.
- Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of current applications and modules and configure Application UI and configure workflow
- Collaborate effectively with other ServiceNow administrators to develop solutions and handle general updates and configuration changes/requests
- Knowledge of .NET, C# and a programming proficiency in JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET
- Understanding with HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and third-party controls
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions. Troubleshoot production problems related to ServiceNow custom applications.
- Address problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms
- Ensure the latest release of ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to IT operations
- Able to manage and lead integration of new products based on client requirements
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
- Ensure appropriate tools and processes are in place to have a development/production environment that is reliable and reproducible
- Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, stage, testing, sandbox, and production environments




- Participate in ongoing production support and end user support
- Ability to efficiently and appropriately estimate work effort requirements
- Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
- Participate in development of software user manuals and technical reports
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Skills and Attributes for Success

- System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
- Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, and IP networks
- Strong familiarity and working knowledge of ServiceNow Suite of tools (Platform capabilities, ITSM, ITOM, Dashboards and Reports, Performance Analytics, Knowledge Base, SOAR, SecOps, etc.)
- Working knowledge in ServiceNow as well as at least two of the following areas: Java/J2EE; C#/C++/C; VB/.NET; Perl; Python; SQL; JavaScript/AJAX

Educational Requirement

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; or
- 6-7 years of knowledge of computer programming languages and with at least 3 years of work experience in ServiceNow
