Role & responsibilities

- Study customer specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements for power transformers.
- Prepare electrical tender designs, technical offers, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Perform electrical design calculations and prepare transformer design documentation.
- Develop electrical designs in accordance with customer requirements and applicable IEC and IS standards.
- Prepare transformer designs with appropriate impedance, short-circuit withstand capability, and supporting calculations.
- Participate in technical meetings with customers to discuss design requirements, technical specifications, and drawing approvals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, quality, and testing, to resolve design-related issues.
- Provide technical information and engineering support to manufacturing teams during production and testing.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of transformer production,



testing, and site-related technical issues.
- Ensure design accuracy, technical compliance, and timely completion of assigned engineering activities.
- Assist in reviewing design drawings and documentation during the drawing approval process.

Preferred candidate profile

- Hands-on experience in power transformer electrical design.
- Experience in tender engineering, BOM preparation, and technical offer development.
- Knowledge of transformer design calculations and engineering standards.
- Exposure to customer technical discussions and drawing approval processes.
- Ability to provide engineering support to manufacturing, production, testing, and site teams.
- Knowledge of internal transformer design methodologies will be an added advantage.
