- Manage and maintain the school library, including books, digital resources, and library records.
- Promote reading habits and a love for learning among students.
- Support IB curriculum and inquiry-based learning through relevant library resources.
- Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning and research activities.
- Teach students basic research skills, information literacy, referencing, and responsible use of information.
- Support PYP projects as applicable.
- Organize reading programmes, book displays, library activities, and literacy events.
- Ensure the library is welcoming, inclusive, and well-organized.
- Encourage the IB Learner Profile attributes and independent learning.
- Maintain library policies, inventory, and resource records.
Preferred candidate profile
- Degree in Library Science or a relevant qualification.
- Experience in a school library.
- Positive communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for reading, student learning, and inquiry-based education.
- Basic knowledge of digital library resources and library management systems.
