Position: Networking SME - IBMS Solutions
Experience: 8-15 Years
Location: Mumbai, India (Travel to project sites as required)
Role Purpose:
The Networking SME will be responsible for designing, reviewing, supporting, commissioning, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade network infrastructure for Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS), Data Centers, Airports, Metro Rail, Smart Buildings, and Critical Infrastructure projects.
The role requires expertise in OT/IT convergence, industrial networking, cybersecurity, and multi-system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Pan India Technical Support for Design & Engineering, Commissioning & Trouble shooting
• Develop network architecture for IBMS, BMS, FAS, CCTV, ACS, PA, SCADA, EMS, CPMS, and Data Center solutions.
• Prepare network topology, IP addressing plans, VLAN architecture, redundancy philosophy, and cybersecurity design.
• Design Layer-2 and Layer-3 networks for critical infrastructure applications.
• Perform bandwidth calculations and network sizing.
System Integration
• Integrate BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, SNMP, OPC UA, MQTT, and other OT protocols.
• Support third-party system integration through Ethernet networks.
• Define communication architecture between field controllers, servers, workstations, and cloud platforms.
Commissioning & Troubleshooting
• Support commissioning of network switches, routers, firewalls, and managed industrial networks.
• Resolve communication issues related to online/offline controllers, servers, gateways, and field devices.
• Conduct FAT, SAT, performance testing, and redundancy validation.
• Analyze network traffic using Wireshark and diagnostic tools.
Cybersecurity
• Implement IEC 62443/NIST-based cybersecurity practices.
• Configure VLAN segregation, ACLs, firewall rules, VPN access, and secure remote connectivity.
• Conduct network security assessments and vulnerability reviews.
Technical Leadership
• Act as L4 SME for project teams.
• Review engineering deliverables and mentor engineering/commissioning teams.
• Support tendering, solution architecture, customer presentations, and technical clarifications.
