Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Service Mesh, Observability and GitOps. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable cloud-native platforms, automating deployment pipelines and managing production infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated build/release processes.

- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and microservices architecture.

- Implement and manage Istio Service Mesh for service-to-service communication and traffic management.

- Build and maintain observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluentd, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Thanos and Grafana Alloy.

- Implement GitOps-based deployments using ArgoCD.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and other IaC tools.

- Implement DevSecOps practices and secure infrastructure deployments.

- Manage cloud and on-prem Kubernetes platforms.

- Work with HashiCorp Vault, Argo Workflows, SLI/SLO and application monitoring.

- Troubleshoot Linux, networking, container and production infrastructure issues.

- Develop automation and platform solutions using Python or Go.





- Take ownership of platform engineering activities and independently drive technical decisions.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker and Helm Charts.

- Hands-on experience with Istio Service Mesh.

- Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Grafana Alloy, OpenTelemetry, Thanos and Loki.

- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.

- GitOps using ArgoCD.

- Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.

- Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure.

- DevSecOps practices and HashiCorp Vault.

- Argo Workflows, SLI/SLO and application monitoring.

- On-premise technologies such as Rancher and Ceph Storage.

- Strong Linux/Unix and networking fundamentals.

- Programming experience in Python or Go.

- Understanding or hands-on experience in Kubernetes Operator development.

Good to Have

- Apache Kafka, Azure Service Bus and Google Pub/Sub.

- Azure Storage Account and Redis Cache.

- MySQL and MongoDB.

- Tinkerbell, Metal3 and bare-metal provisioning.

- Golden image creation and image lifecycle management.

- Packer, Ceph, MinIO and Longhorn.

Qualifications

- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or a related discipline.

- 5-8 years of relevant experience.

- Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and take ownership of deliverables.
