Company Profile

Morulaa HealthTech is a fast-growing technology company building AI-driven regulatory and compliance solutions, helping over 500+ global medical device and IVD manufacturers navigate complex regulatory pathways into India, the EU, the USA, and ASEAN markets. Our platforms help organizations automate document-heavy workflows and streamline end-to-end supply chain logistics.

Why this role exists

We are expanding our Operations & Logistics Division and seeking a proactive, detailed-oriented Import & Export Executive (2+ years of experience) to manage our end-to-end international trade, custom clearance, and supply chain operations. In this role, you will be directly responsible for coordinating custom house agents (CHAs), verifying critical import/export documentation, managing inward and outward logistics, and ensuring seamless compliance with customs and medical device trade regulations. Designed as an impactful operational role, this position offers direct responsibility over time-sensitive logistics, procurement, and regulatory shipping compliance across international jurisdictions.

What you'll do

- Import & Export Operations & Document Verification: End-to-end management of import and export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Airway Bills (AWB), Certificates of Origin, Certificate of Analysis (CoA), and licenses. Perform complete document verification to ensure compliance with customs and CDSCO regulations.
- Customs Clearance & CHA Coordination: Liaise directly with Custom House Agents (CHA),

freight forwarders, and customs authorities. Manage Bill of Entry (BOE) filing, shipping bills, classification, duty payments, customs examination, and clearance procedures to eliminate import/export demurrage and detention charges.
- Inward & Outward Logistics: Oversee domestic and international freight movements (Sea, Air, and Courier/Express). Coordinate inward raw materials/finished goods receipt and outward shipment dispatch, tracking consignments from point-of-origin to final delivery.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Support procurement functions by coordinating with overseas suppliers, local vendors, and logistics service providers. Evaluate freight quotes, negotiate rates, track purchase orders (POs), and monitor vendor performance.
- Special Economic Zone (SEZ) / Bonded Logistics: Coordinate SEZ / STPI / EOU procedures, duty-free clearance, SVB, and Special Economic Zone / Special Logistics (SEM) documentation where applicable.
- Regulatory & Statutory Compliance: Maintain compliance with Indian Customs Act, Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), CDSCO import/export guidelines for medical devices/IVDs, and export promotion schemes (e.g., RodTEP, Advance Authorization).

What you bring

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or a related technical discipline.
- English-medium academic background with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Experience & Core Knowledge:

- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in import/export clearance, supply chain, and logistics operations (experience in Medical Devices, IVDs, Pharmaceuticals, or Lifesciences is highly preferred).
- Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Customs Act, Bill of Entry (BOE) processing, HS Code classification, IncoTerms (FOB, CIF, DDP, EXW), and ICEGATE operations.

Competencies:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional communication with CHAs, global vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Sharp attention to detail, robust problem-solving capabilities under tight timelines, and high ethical integrity.

Nice-to-haves

- Prior experience handling CDSCO Import/Export Licensure documentation (e.g., Form MD-14 / MD-15 import permits).
- Certification in Logistics, Import-Export Management, or Customs Clearance procedures.
- Direct working relationships with reputable freight forwarders and CHAs in Chennai/South India ports and airports.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year

Benefits:

- Food provided
- Health insurance
- Leave encashment
- Paid sick time
- Provident Fund
