About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Head of Procurement with 8–10 years of experience, preferably in the FMCG industry, to lead our procurement function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, inventory planning, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and other business-critical supplies.

The candidate should possess solid negotiation skills, sound commercial acumen, and the ability to develop reliable supplier partnerships while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, production requirements, and cost targets.
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other essential requirements.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and regularly assess supplier performance.
- Cost Optimization: Drive cost-saving initiatives through competitive sourcing, price benchmarking, bulk purchasing, and contract negotiations.
- FMCG Procurement:



Manage procurement activities in a fast-paced FMCG environment, ensuring uninterrupted supply of materials and timely support to production.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with production, planning, quality, stores, and logistics teams to maintain optimum inventory levels and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure purchased materials meet approved quality standards, specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage purchase agreements, pricing contracts, payment terms, and supplier service-level agreements.
- Purchase Operations: Oversee purchase requisitions, purchase orders, delivery schedules, supplier documentation, and procurement records.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor commodity price trends, supplier markets, and procurement risks to identify opportunities and mitigate supply disruptions.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and monitor the procurement team to achieve departmental KPIs and operational targets.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with production, finance, quality assurance, R&D;, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth business operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
