Founding Product Engineer — Voice AI

About the Role

We are looking for a Founding Product Engineer — Voice AI to help build an AI-powered training platform that transforms a coach’s knowledge, voice, and teaching style into an interactive AI twin.

The product enables learners to interact with AI coaches through role plays, live voice conversations, and video, grounded in the real coach’s material and approach.

This is a hands-on founding engineering role where you’ll work closely with the founders, own features end to end, and help solve challenging problems around voice AI, real-time interaction, latency, evaluation, personalization, and continuous learning.

What You'll Work On

- Build and ship features across both backend and frontend.
- Develop real-time voice experiences where conversations feel natural and responsive.
- Optimize latency and turn-taking to make AI conversations feel live.
- Build simulation-based evaluation systems to test:
- AI twin fidelity
- Boundaries
- Guardrails
- Conversation quality
- Develop systems that continuously improve from learner sessions and coach reviews.
- Build feedback loops inspired by RLHF-style approaches.
- Monitor how learners use the product and use those insights to improve the experience.
- Work across product, engineering, and AI systems in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Help shape engineering architecture and technical decisions as the product scales.

Required Skills & Experience





- 3–7 years of software/product engineering experience.
- Proven experience shipping real production products, not just prototypes.
- Strong Python development experience.
- Comfortable building async, streaming, or real-time systems.
- Strong understanding of latency, concurrency, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Experience measuring system performance and making data-driven optimization decisions.
- Strong product mindset and ability to work across both backend and frontend.
- Experience with realtime video, voice, telephony, gaming, or high-concurrency backend systems is highly valuable.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage workplace with significant ownership and ambiguity.
