Role description

The Opportunity

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of enterprise data solutions through comprehensive ETL, database, and automation testing practices. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, data engineers, and project teams to validate complex healthcare data processes and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies for ETL and data warehouse applications.
- Perform ETL, Database, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Acceptance, Compatibility, Exploratory, Staging, and Multi-platform testing.
- Validate data migration, transformation, and loading processes across enterprise systems.
- Conduct Snowflake database testing and data validation activities.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data reconciliation and validation.
- Validate Data Warehouse structures including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact Tables, and Dimension Tables.
- Prepare and manage test data for various testing scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using ICEDQ and other automation tools.
- Manage defects through Jira and participate in defect triage and resolution activities.
- Support production issue analysis and participate in WAR room discussions for critical incidents.
- Analyze data quality issues and identify root causes.
- Understand Strategic Provider Systems and validate business-specific healthcare processes.
- Validate Pricing Automation and Reimbursement Assignment processes within Provider Data Systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand acceptance criteria and testing requirements.
- Prepare testing documentation, execution reports, and knowledge transfer documents.
- Ensure adherence to Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes and QA best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What You Need

Requirements

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in ETL Testing, Database Testing, and Data Warehouse Testing.
- Strong experience with Snowflake testing and validation.
- Hands-on expertise in ETL and DWH testing methodologies.
- Strong SQL and Oracle PL/SQL database testing experience.




- Experience with functional, smoke, regression, acceptance, compatibility, exploratory, and database testing.
- Experience with automation testing frameworks and ICEDQ.
- Understanding of ETL processes, data validation, and data quality assurance.
- Working knowledge of Jira and defect management processes.
- Experience with Control-M job scheduling tool.
- Solid understanding of STLC and defect life cycle management.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with business and technical teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

5+ Years

Domain Expertise

Candidates with US Healthcare domain experience will be highly preferred.
