Location:
Hyderabad Job Summary We are looking for a responsible and experienced Packing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day pharmaceutical packing operations. The candidate will be responsible for supervising packing line activities, manpower management, ensuring production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with GMP and safety requirements during primary and secondary packaging operations. Roles and Responsibilities
• Supervise and monitor daily packing activities in accordance with approved production plans and schedules.
• Handle primary and secondary packing operations for pharmaceutical formulations such as tablets, capsules, syrups, and other dosage forms.
• Ensure proper execution of packing activities as per approved Batch Packing Records (BPR).
• Coordinate and supervise packing line operations, including blister packing, strip packing, bottle filling, labelling, cartoning, and shipper packing, as applicable.
• Ensure line clearance before starting packing operations and after completion of each batch.
• Monitor packing machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
• Allocate manpower and manage shift-wise activities to achieve daily production targets.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of printed packaging materials, labels, cartons, foils, and other packing components.
• Verify product details, batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and other printed particulars during packing operations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, GDP, and safety procedures throughout packing activities.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) for line clearance, in-process checks, and quality-related approvals.




• Monitor in-process packing parameters and ensure rejection and wastage are maintained within permissible limits.
• Maintain proper documentation of packing activities, equipment usage, production output, and manpower records.
• Identify and report packing-related issues, machine breakdowns, and deviations to the concerned departments.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams for timely resolution of equipment-related problems.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, hygiene, and safety practices in the packing area.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and segregation of finished products and packaging materials.
• Train and guide packing operators and helpers on operational procedures, GMP, and safety requirements.
• Prepare shift-wise production reports and report daily packing performance to the Production Manager.
• Ensure timely completion of batch packing activities without compromising product quality. Required Qualifications
• Diploma / B.
Sc. / B.
Pharm or any relevant qualification.
• 3–4 years of experience in packing operations in a pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing company.
• Hands-on experience in primary and secondary packing operations.
• Practical knowledge of blister packing, strip packing, bottle packing, labelling, and cartoning operations.
• Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, BPR documentation, and packaging material reconciliation.
• Experience in manpower handling, shift management, and production target achievement. Key Skills Required
