Role Description The Purchasing Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including planning requirements, preparing and processing purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. The Purchasing Engineer tracks inventory levels, evaluates supplier performance, and supports cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards for solar-related equipment.



Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, production, and accounts teams, analyzing purchasing data, and supporting continuous improvement in procurement processes. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Purchasing Processes and Purchase Management.
• Candidates should possess experience in Purchase Planning and handling Purchase Orders.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to evaluate vendors, costs, and material requirements.
• Relevant experience in engineering or technical procurement, preferably in the solar or electrical manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain skilled vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and time-management skills.
