We are looking for an experienced and technically robust Electrical Engineer to join our team and manage electrical engineering, design coordination, BOQ preparation, estimation, site execution, testing, commissioning, and project handover for commercial office building projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in building electrical systems, HT/LT distribution, MEP coordination, contractor management, quantity estimation, and cost optimisation. Job Responsibilities 1. Electrical Design & Engineering
• Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, SLDs, load schedules, and design calculations.
• Coordinate electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
• Review requirements for transformers, HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS, busducts, and distribution boards.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams. 2. BOQ Preparation & Quantity Estimation
• Independently prepare detailed electrical BOQs based on approved drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs for cables, conduits, cable trays, lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, panels, and electrical accessories.
• Prepare material quantity schedules, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
• Review vendor quotations, prepare comparative statements, and identify scope gaps, quantity discrepancies, and cost optimization opportunities. 3. Site Execution & Project Supervision
• Supervise electrical installation works and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor installation of electrical equipment, panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, cabling, and lighting systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality execution and timely project completion.
• Monitor site progress, material consumption, and manpower deployment. 4.



Testing & Commissioning
• Plan and supervise electrical testing and commissioning activities.
• Verify insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, phase sequence, and protection systems.
• Coordinate functional and integrated testing of electrical equipment and building systems.
• Review commissioning reports and handover documentation. 5. Project Coordination, Quality & Safety
• Coordinate with Civil, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, IT, and Interior Fit-out teams.
• Monitor project schedules, cost control, material approvals, and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, ITPs, and quality procedures.
• Support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, snagging, and final project handover. Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Additional certifications in electrical safety, project management, or testing and commissioning will be an advantage. Required Experience & Technical Skills
• 6–12 years of experience in electrical engineering for commercial buildings, office towers, IT parks, or large-scale building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HT/LT electrical distribution and building electrical services.
• Hands-on experience with transformers, HT/LT switchgear, DG sets, UPS systems, busducts, and electrical panels.
• Proven expertise in Electrical BOQ Preparation, Quantity Take-offs, Material Estimation, and Costing.
• Ability to independently prepare accurate electrical BOQs from architectural and electrical drawings with minimal supervision.
• Experience in vendor evaluation, quotation comparison, material planning, and cost optimization.
• Good knowledge of electrical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. Knowledge of Revit MEP, BIM coordination, and project scheduling tools is preferred.
