Join a team responsible for supporting and optimizing enterprise storage, backup, and recovery environments. As a Technical Support Engineer – Dell EMC Storage & Backup, you will play a key role in ensuring data availability, backup reliability, disaster recovery readiness, and operational excellence across critical business systems. You will leverage your expertise in Dell EMC Storage, Avamar Backup Solutions, Windows, and Linux environments to troubleshoot complex issues, maintain system performance, and deliver high-quality technical support to customers and internal stakeholders. Your Role As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and managing enterprise storage and backup environments, with a focus on Dell EMC Storage solutions and Avamar Backup. You will play a key role in ensuring backup reliability, storage availability, disaster recovery readiness, and operational excellence across customer environments. In this Role, You Will
• Provide L2/L3 support for Dell EMC Storage and Dell EMC Avamar environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve storage, backup, recovery, and replication-related incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, and data protection operations across enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot backup failures, storage performance issues, connectivity challenges, and recovery-related incidents.
• Administer Avamar infrastructure, including backup policies, scheduling, reporting, capacity management, and health monitoring.
• Support Windows Server and Linux platforms to ensure successful backup and recovery operations.
• Analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with customers, internal teams,



and OEM support teams for issue resolution and escalations.
• Perform storage provisioning, configuration changes, maintenance, and health checks.
• Support disaster recovery testing and ensure compliance with backup and recovery standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, incident reports, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call support and rotational shift activities.
• Drive continuous service improvement and recommend best practices for storage and backup operations.

Your Profile
Mandatory Skills
• 2-9 years of experience in Technical Support, Storage Administration, or Backup Operations.
• Hands-on experience with Dell EMC Storage platforms.
• Strong experience with Dell EMC Avamar Backup and Recovery solutions.
• Good understanding of enterprise backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS, RAID, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and enterprise storage technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for backup jobs, storage performance issues, and infrastructure-related incidents.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and ITIL-based support processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-facing support environment.
