• The Packaging Development Associate will support the development, sourcing and quality control of Kanpeki's packaging and printed materials. Working closely with the Packaging Development Manager, vendors and the production team, the role helps ensure every product is packed correctly, on time and to brand standards.
• This is an excellent prospect for someone with a packaging or printing background to grow hands-on experience across materials, print, vendors and manufacturing in a growing consumer brand.

Key Responsibilities
• 1. Packaging Development Support
• Assist in developing primary packaging (bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, caps, sachets) and secondary packaging (cartons, labels, sleeves, shipper boxes) for new and existing products.
• Prepare and maintain packaging specification sheets, dielines and bills of materials.
• Coordinate sample development, mock-ups and trial packs with vendors.
• Support compatibility, leakage, drop and transit testing with the quality and product teams. Printing and Artwork Coordination
• Check artworks for text accuracy, barcodes, dimensions, colours and mandatory label declarations before print approval.
• Coordinate with designers and printers on proofs, shade cards and corrections.
• Attend press checks and first-off sample approvals at vendor sites under the guidance of the manager.
• Maintain an organised artwork archive with clear version control. Vendor Coordination
• Follow up with packaging and printing vendors on samples, quotations, purchase orders and delivery schedules.
• Collect and compare quotations to support vendor selection and price negotiations.
• Track vendor quality and delivery performance and report issues promptly.



Production and Quality Support
• Inspect incoming packaging materials against approved specifications and samples.
• Support filling, labelling and packing teams in resolving packaging issues on the line.
• Participate in line trials for new packaging formats.
• Record non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions with vendors. Inventory and Documentation
• Track packaging material stock levels and alert the team to shortages or excess stock.
• Maintain specification files, test reports, vendor records and approval documents.
• Prepare regular status updates on packaging projects, timelines and open issues. Qualifications and Skills
• Essential
• Diploma or degree in Packaging Technology, Printing Technology, Mechanical / Production Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in packaging, printing or a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of packaging materials such as PET, HDPE, PP, glass, laminates and paperboard.
• Understanding of printing processes (offset, flexo, screen, digital) and common finishes.
• Ability to read dielines, technical drawings and specification sheets.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, email and documentation.
• Willingness to travel to vendor sites and manufacturing units as required. Preferred
• Experience in cosmetics, personal care, FMCG or pharmaceutical packaging.
• Diploma or certification from the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) or an equivalent institute.
• Basic familiarity with Adobe Illustrator for artwork checks.
• Awareness of Legal Metrology labelling requirements. Ideal Candidate Profile
