Role Description The Technical Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving sales of process equipment and engineering solutions to customers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and allied sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying leads, conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations, preparing and reviewing proposals, and collaborating with engineering teams to design solutions that meet client requirements. The Technical Sales Engineer will maintain regular communication with existing and prospective customers, participate in site visits and meetings, gather market and competitor insights, and support marketing initiatives and trade events as needed. Qualifications
• Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills to identify opportunities, manage pipelines, and close deals effectively.
• Experience in Sales Engineering and Technical Sales to translate technical features into customer-focused value propositions.
• Solid Technical Support capabilities to assist customers with product selection, application issues, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and professional presentation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline; equivalent technical experience may be considered.
• Experience selling industrial or process equipment in chemical, pharmaceutical, or allied industries is highly beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
• Strong customer focus, negotiation skills, and ability to build long-term professional relationships.
• Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office, and basic data analysis for sales reporting and planning.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and industrial locations as required.
