– WORKS MANAGER

Location: GTZ (India) Pvt. Ltd. Factory, Khariberia, Bishnupur, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal

Department: Works / Manufacturing

Reporting To: MD / Director

Experience: 15–20+ years in Chemical/Process Manufacturing, including 5+ years in senior plant/works management

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry/Relevant Science

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Works Manager to lead overall plant operations and ensure safe, reliable, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

· Overall leadership of Production, Maintenance, Utilities, Engineering, EHS and Plant Operations.

· Drive production planning and achievement of production, quality, delivery, yield, productivity and cost targets.

· Improve plant capacity, OEE, equipment reliability, process efficiency and energy/utilities performance.

· Ensure process safety, EHS, statutory and environmental compliance.

· Drive plant expansion, modernization, commissioning, debottlenecking and improvement projects.

· Coordinate with R&D;/Quality Control, Quality Assurance on process scale-up, trials and commercialization.





· Control manufacturing costs, manpower, inventory, wastage and operational losses.

· Lead multidisciplinary teams, develop people and strengthen shop-floor discipline.

· Ensure compliance with applicable ISO/IATF/GMP/GLP and support customer, certification and statutory audits.

· Establish and review plant KPIs and lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Candidate Profile

· 15–20+ years of relevant experience with strong plant/works leadership exposure.

· Hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing, plant operations, process safety and utilities.

· Proven track record in productivity improvement, capacity enhancement, commissioning and cost optimization.

· Robust leadership, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· High ownership, integrity, discipline and execution capability.
