About The Opportunity

- Safety Projects Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and innovative Technical Design Engineer to join its Design & Engineering department at the Umbergaon Plant. The role is critical for developing, optimizing, and coordinating the design of industrial special-purpose engineering systems, ensuring they are manufacturable, compliant, and efficiently executed in collaboration with production and project teams.

Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop structural support systems, special components, and application-based engineering systems.
- Prepare detailed engineering and fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing details.
- Develop optimized and manufacturable design solutions aligned with technical specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as required.
- Perform engineering and load calculations for design validation.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and prepare technical specifications and design reports.
- Coordinate prototype development and testing activities.
- Support the production team in resolving fabrication and manufacturing issues.
- Modify and optimize drawings based on manufacturing feasibility and site requirements.
- Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.
- Review site measurements and installation requirements.
- Coordinate with project execution and installation teams.
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning activities when required.





Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

- BE in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial design engineering, fabrication design, or special-purpose engineering systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
- Capability to conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Experience in structural design and analysis, fabrication and sheet metal design, load calculations, BOM preparation, technical documentation, and manufacturing drawing development.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, coordination, and communication abilities.

Preferred

- Knowledge of Tekla.
- Solid technical and analytical mindset.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- Proactive approach toward design improvement and optimization.
- Team-oriented and collaborative working style.
