- About the RoleWe are looking for a Salesforce Developer to strengthen our technology delivery capabilities and support the ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of our Salesforce environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Lead, wider delivery team and external vendors to develop reliable Salesforce solutions, improve system performance, support integrations and enhance development and deployment processes.

While Salesforce will be the individual's primary technical specialism, this is a wider delivery-team role. The candidate will contribute to a shared project backlog and work across initiatives involving system integrations, business process automation, AI and wider operational improvements.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively, actively contributes to technical discussions and understands how technology supports real business operations.

- Key Responsibilities

A.

Salesforce

Development & Maintenance
- Develop, configure, maintain and enhance Salesforce solutions using Apex and appropriate Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Build reusable components and functionalities using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow and other platform tools.
- Work with Salesforce objects, data models, SOQL, permissions and platform configurations.
- Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability and user experience while identifying and addressing technical debt.

B. System Integrations & Automation
- Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and other business systems using APIs and appropriate integration methods.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement and maintain system integrations.
- Develop automation solutions to streamline business processes, reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to projects involving AI, Power Platform and emerging automation technologies where relevant.

C.

Technical

Design, Testing & Deployment
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and contribute to solution design and technical implementation planning.
- Support technical discovery, estimation, code reviews and the identification of technical dependencies and constraints.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration and regression tests, including appropriate Apex test coverage.
- Use Git, Salesforce DX, source control and CI/CD pipelines to manage development, deployments and releases across multiple environments.
- Support release planning, deployment,



validation, rollback and post-release reviews.

D.

Agile

Delivery & Team Collaboration
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, demonstrations and retrospectives.
- Contribute to user stories, technical tasks and acceptance criteria, providing technical input on requirements and implementation approaches.
- Work across multiple projects as part of the wider delivery team, managing priorities, dependencies and agreed deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead, colleagues and external vendors to resolve technical challenges, remove blockers and ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate progress, risks and technical requirements while sharing knowledge through documentation, discussions and demonstrations.

E.

Production

Support & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce defects, incidents and performance issues.
- Maintain platform security, access controls, permissions, data quality and compliance with relevant organisational requirements.
- Monitor platform health and proactively improve system reliability, maintainability and supportability.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and identify opportunities to improve development processes, platform capabilities and overall operational efficiency.

- Essential Skills & Experience

- Proven commercial experience working as a Salesforce Developer.
- Strong working knowledge of Apex and Salesforce development.
- Practical experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow and SOQL.
- Understanding of Salesforce objects, data modelling, security, sharing rules and permissions.
- Experience developing, testing and supporting Salesforce solutions.
- Knowledge of Salesforce APIs, integrations and data management.
- Experience working with multiple Salesforce environments and deployment processes.
- Understanding of source control, automated testing and structured release management.
- Robust analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.




- Ability to manage priorities, dependencies and multiple projects.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to development and problem-solving.

- Desirable Skills & Experience
- JavaScript development experience.
- Experience with Salesforce DX and Git.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with third-party system integrations and API development.
- Exposure to Power Automate, Microsoft Power Platform or other automation tools.
- Experience with AI-related business applications or automation initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile or other iterative delivery environments.
- Salesforce Platform Developer certification.

- Qualifications

- A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent practical experience in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Salesforce certifications are advantageous but practical development experience and demonstrable technical capability are essential.
