We are seeking a hands-on AI Platform & Data Engineer to help build, secure, and optimize our growing portfolio of AI-driven applications and data pipelines. In this role, you will be in the code every day—building integrations, tuning AWS and Snowflake performance, securing execution environments, and using contemporary AI developer tools (like Claude Code) to accelerate core data and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-On Development & Acceleration: Actively write Python, SQL, and pipeline code. Utilize AI coding tools to rapidly prototype and execute engineering projects in days rather than weeks.
- FinOps & Cost Optimization: Audit and optimize compute/query spending in AWS (EC2 right-sizing, etc.) and Snowflake (warehouse scaling, query optimization, caching).
- Security & Governance: Directly configure security controls—IAM roles, network security, API secret management,
and data privacy guardrails—around our AI app infrastructure and Snowflake logs.
- Infrastructure & Pipeline Support: Build and maintain the backend infrastructure supporting LLM apps and data workflows, ensuring low latency, high uptime, and clean data logging.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience spanning cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern data platforms (Snowflake).
- Proficiency in Python, Linux and SQL, with direct experience building and maintaining data pipelines or web services.
- Demonstrated experience with Cloud Security (IAM, VPCs, network security) and Cloud Cost Optimization (FinOps tactics in AWS and Snowflake).
- Active user of AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code) with a practical understanding of how to build and operate LLM-powered applications securely.
