We are looking for a skilled Software Tester with 3 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Playwright, API testing, PostgreSQL, and Jira to ensure the quality and reliability of web-based applications across LOS, NBFC, and HRMS modules.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and user stories; prepare test scenarios, test cases, and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UAT-support testing across web modules, including LOS, NBFC, and HRMS.
Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automation scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript, following the Page Object Model (POM).
Perform REST API testing using Postman and automate API checks within the Playwright framework.
Write and execute PostgreSQL queries to validate backend data, data integrity, and database migrations.
Log, track, and retest defects in Jira; participate in defect triage with developers and product teams.
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and share test execution reports.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release sign-off activities.
Maintain test data, test documentation, and QA status reports.

Technical Skills
Strong understanding of manual testing fundamentals, including SDLC, STLC,



test design techniques such as Boundary Value Analysis (BVA), equivalence partitioning, and defect life cycle.
Hands-on experience with Playwright automation using TypeScript/JavaScript, including locators, assertions, fixtures, and the POM framework.
Knowledge of REST API testing, methods, status codes, JSON, and Postman; experience with API automation using Playwright request context.
Positive knowledge of PostgreSQL, including joins, subqueries, aggregate functions, and data validation queries.
Experience with Jira for defect and test management and Git for version control.
Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience in software testing.
- Practical experience in both manual and automation testing is required.
- Experience with Playwright, API testing, PostgreSQL, and Jira is preferred.
