About the role
We are building the data platform behind a multi-brand Shopify business. You own how commerce data is designed in Snowflake, how it is brought in from Azure, and how we know the numbers are right. The work covers the full path: source to warehouse to a dimensional model that merchandising, finance, and operations can use. Transforms run in dbt and Coalesce. What you will do
• Set the Snowflake architecture for multi-store commerce data: layers, keys, history, and how facts and dimensions fit together.
• Shape ingestion on Azure, including Azure Data Factory, so Shopify data lands cleanly and on a schedule.
• Design the dimensional model: sales, inventory, product, customer, returns, and the shared dimensions those facts use.
• Define modeling standards so every store follows the same patterns.
• Own data quality: freshness, completeness, reconciliation to the source, and a transparent bar for what is fit to publish.




• Work with analytics and the business on what the domain means, not only how the tables are built.
• Guide warehouse design, access, and cost so the platform stays operable. What you need
• Experience as a Snowflake architect or senior data modeler.
• Azure data platform experience, including Data Factory.
• Working knowledge of dbt and Coalesce.
• Strong dimensional modeling, and a point of view on how a model should be structured.
• A track record of putting data quality into the design, not bolting it on later.
• Domain experience in ecommerce or retail. Shopify is a plus. Nice to have
• Multi-brand or multi-store commerce.
• Comfort explaining model and quality choices to non-technical stakeholders.
