Sr. Manager / AGM Electrical Procurement

Role Overview

Responsible for managing end-to-end electrical procurement for data centre projects, ensuring timely sourcing of quality electrical equipment and materials at competitive costs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead procurement of electrical equipment such as transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgear, DG sets, UPS, cables, bus ducts and related systems.
- Manage vendor offers, compare techno-commercial proposals and recommend the most suitable procurement strategy.
- Handle procurement for data centre, MEP and EPC projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Planning and Commercial teams for technical and commercial evaluations.
- Drive cost optimization, vendor development and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Monitor order execution, delivery schedules, quality compliance and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with engineering, projects, planning, finance and other departments for timely procurement execution.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard competent vendors / contractors based on technical capability,



commercial competitiveness, quality and delivery performance.
- Lead commercial negotiations and support closure of contracts in line with project requirements and organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual requirements, and project timelines.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and supply chain risks to support strategic procurement decisions.

Desired Candidate Profile
- BE/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 12 18 years of experience in electrical procurement, preferably in Data Centre, EPC, MEP or infrastructure projects.
- Solid exposure to HT/LT electrical equipment and critical power infrastructure.
- Experience in vendor management, techno-commercial negotiations and project-based procurement.
- Good understanding of electrical specifications, commercial terms and supply chain management.

Preferred Industry Background: Data Centre companies, EPC contractors, MEP companies and electrical infrastructure organizations.
