Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PCB Engineer - Altium Library Management to support Hill-Rom hardware development activities at the client location in Whitefield, Bangalore. The engineer will be responsible for the creation, review, validation, and release of approximately 600 Altium library components, including schematic symbols, IPC-compliant PCB footprints, and 3D model mapping. The role requires strong attention to component data accuracy, library standards, quality processes, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain Altium Designer library components based on manufacturer datasheets.
- Develop accurate schematic symbols with correct pin definitions and electrical properties.
- Develop PCB footprints as per IPC-7351 standards and customer-specific guidelines.
- Create, import, integrate, and map 3D models to PCB footprints.
- Verify symbol-to-footprint pin mapping, package dimensions, and datasheet compliance.
- Populate and maintain component parameters, manufacturer information, lifecycle status, and part attributes.
- Perform component validation, library quality checks, checklist reviews, and documentation verification.
- Conduct peer reviews and address review comments before component release.
- Maintain library naming conventions, revision control, and release documentation.




- Deliver approved and release-ready library components within defined project timelines.
- Support hardware engineering teams with component creation, updates, and library-related issues.
- Ensure high levels of accuracy, consistency, and quality across the library deliverables.

Mandatory Skills

- Solid hands-on experience in Altium Designer - Component Library Management.
- Expertise in Schematic Symbol Creation.
- Hands-on experience in IPC-7351 PCB Footprint Development.
- Experience in 3D Model Creation/Integration, Mapping, and Validation.
- Strong ability to interpret electronic component datasheets, package drawings, and pin information.
- Experience in symbol-to-footprint pin mapping and validation.
- Good knowledge of PCB component packaging and manufacturing requirements.
- Experience in library review, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Understanding of component parameters, manufacturer information, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with revision control, release documentation, and library checklists.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to component data accuracy and quality.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Medical Device / regulated product development.
- Knowledge of PCB design and electronic component engineering.
- Familiarity with BOM and component lifecycle management.
- Experience working with global hardware engineering teams.
- Exposure to customer-specific ECAD library standards and governance.
- Experience supporting engineering teams with library/component requests and updates.
