Role & responsibilities

. Accounts Payable & Payments
Execute payment releases through SAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely execution.
Recording of expenses and provisions in line with business requirements.
Validate payment requests and ensure secure and timely receipt of funds by counterparties.
Monitor cash balances and coordinate with Treasury for timely cash funding.
Provide backup support to other Accounts Payable team members to ensure continuity of payment processes.
Reconciliation & Financial Data Integrity
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve outstanding items on a timely basis.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data across trading portfolios, including inventory, broker activity and mark-to-market balances.
Reconcile SAP balance sheet accounts with transactions and balances generated from the Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) system.




Perform intercompany and external counterparty reconciliations between ETRM and SAP and ensure timely resolution of differences.
Financial Close & Reporting
Support month-end closing activities, including completion of reconciliations and closure of outstanding items.
Coordinate with financial reporting teams to provide accurate information for group-level reporting.

Support in preparation of management reporting packs.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualified Chartered Accountant with 36 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, corporate accounting or accounts payable
Hands on experience in end to end financials preparations as per IND AS and IFRS
Experience in month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, journal posting and financial reporting.
Working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system is preferred.
Experience in a multinational, corporate or trading workplace would be preferred.
Robust Excel and data analysis skills.
